While on a supply run, 1 of 4 he takes throughout the year, he discovers Ashley suffering from hypothermia. He finds an abandoned cabin and nurses her back to health.
During the course of a storm the two get to know each other and share each other's past pains.
This book mentions child neglect, low self-esteem, and grief. We follow Sawyer on his journey to moving past his grief and Ashley' s journey of realizing she's beautiful and worthy of love.
This is my first time reading E. C. and I'm very pleased. The story's well written, no errors that I can remember. Awesome characters and relevant/relatable plot points.

This was my first book to read by the lumberjack author from Canada...and honestly, it was much better than I expected it to be. The story has been done before (man living alone in the wilderness takes in spoiled city girl) but there was a certain charm and a whole lot of sexy in this one that started off slower and didn't have too much of an insta-lust/love factor. I have to wonder if the author based his Sawyer on himself and although Ashley started off as a brat somewhat, she grew on me and I loved their HEA ending. Will definitely read more from this author.

Ashley is part of this generation and fancies herself a bit like the Kardashians. Ashley lives for the perfect photos and has a huge following on Instagram; she is an Instagram model/influencer. She is also engaged to Ben - a Poker champion. On the night they are celebrating their engagement with friends, Ashley discovers her foster sister Kate and Ben bumping uglies and is about to learn this has been going on for months. Ashley runs away and ends up suffering hypothermia and is rescued by Sawyer who has destined himself to live a life of hermit and reclusiveness. He couldn't leave Ashley to die and takes her to a cabin in the woods. They end up snowed in as a massive blizzard has hit. During this time we get to see a nicer side and less celebrity orientated and spoilt side of Ashley, and we learn about Sawyer and what drove him to his lifestyle and why he hates everything social media and the internet. As the pair spend more time together, we read as they hook up and have chemistry fueled romantic fling. What will happen though when Ashley is rescued, and it is time to go back to her "real world." Will she go back to Ben or will she discover that it is Sawyer that she loves and will she be able to give up the world of social media for true love? Find out in Saved by the Woodsman by Eddie Cleveland. I have to say I enjoyed this book as I was a little worried as it is a male author, and sometimes when you read males writing romance - their guy humour comes through the pages a tad to strongly . However Eddie's writing did not show a gender bias.
Unanticipated incidents turn into life-changing events for a man and woman with very little in common. At first, the couple do not think very highly of each other, but as their backgrounds are exposed and inner feelings are revealed, I came to understand what drove these two to react as they did on a number of occasions. Wanting to know what they would do next had me reading this interesting story by Eddie Cleveland in one setting.
To all those who follow Ashley on social media, it would appear that everything in her life is going splendidly. She has a wealthy boyfriend, and thousands of dedicated followers. When it becomes apparent the people in her personal life are not very loyal, getting away from them leads to Ashley becoming lost in a Colorado forest covered in snow. But luckily for her, Sawyer lives in the remote area and happens upon her before she freezes to death.
There is much passion in SAVED BY THE WOODSMAN, where the responses of Ashley and Sawyer are enthusiastic yet also filled with caring. I always felt as though the couple was true to their personalities, and they both had to look deep within themselves for answers to some difficult questions. A highly entertaining story of a chance meeting turning into so much more. 4.5 Stars

I'm not going to lie....I chose this read simply because I was doing a reading challenge and needed a book written by a male author and saw this was free on . Viola - perfect fit.
This is an insta lust turning to love story between two completely social opposites - one living completely of the grid due to personal tragedy cause by social media and the other looking for acceptance and love via social media.
This story actually turned out better than I expected it to be. It really highlights some of the negative of social media and had real character growth with our h, Ashley. I loved that I got an epilogue with a HEA.
Overall not a bad read.
